Understand steel reinforcement schedules and read reinforcement drawings
Installation of steel reinforcement for Base slabs and walls
Assemble the reinforcing bars or mesh by wiring into predetermined locations within the concrete
About YOU
• 5 years’ minimum experience on a construction site as a Steel Fixer
• Leading Hand experience
• White / Blue Card
• Elevated Work Platform – Desirable
• Working at heights – Desirable

STEEL FIXER
We are looking for a skilled and hardworking Steel Fixer to be a part of our Construction team. You should be able to measure, cut, bend, and setup steel bars as per the specifications provided.
You should be aware of the health and safety protocols and display compliance to it at all times. Moreover, you should be able to reinforce steel bars to the frameworks.
As a Steel Fixer, you should have excellent physical and mental strength. In addition to this, you should be aware of the industry standards and have a detail-oriented approach. Familiarity with various rebaring equipment and proven work experience in the Construction industry will be advantageous.

Responsibilities
• Reviewing the work area to determine the number of materials required
• Measuring and cutting steel bars correctly
• Bending and laying out steel bars, rods, and mesh as per the specifications
• Fixing steel bars and mesh by applying cement
• Using hand and power tools to perform daily activities
• Setting up and positioning steel bars, plates, and other steel units
• Clearing the work area before and after work
OFFICE ADMIN
About the role
1) Strong communication skills with leads, suppliers and staff
2) Knowledge of building materials and the building process
3) Strong organisational and computer skills - excel, adobe, email management
4) Sales skills - ability to ask the right questions at the right times
5) Staff management - ability to run weekly reports and follow up other staff for outcomes
6) Manage job progress within business software and update clients, trades and suppliers of job progress
7) Ability to write story telling content about our projects for marketing purposes
